What I Ate Wednesday
Good morning and happy hump day! Let's chat about everything I ate yesterday, shall we?
Started the morning off with my usual morning routine including 4 cups of warm lemon water.
Later on followed by Jacked Up Java. Today's was made with Brain Octaine MCT oil, Vital Proteins collagen, heavy cream, grass fed butter, maca blend and a dash of nutmeg.
A little later on I had a yogurt bowl for breakfast. Digging goat's milk yogurt lately...so I had that with ground flax meal, sprouted pumpkin seeds, lots of raw cacao nibs, lots of cinnamon, local honey and this new product I am trying from Beekeeper's Natural...it's honey, propolis and royal jelly and its a powerful superfood and gives ya ton of energy! Loving the stuff so far. I'll let you know if I notice any big changes but I just started it last week! I have also been using the same company's propolis spray as a natural antimicrobial.
I did a cooking demo at my job that morning, so I snacked on some of the beet carrot salad we made throughout the morning. People are so weird and hate beets but I was personally in heaven :)
Alright for lunch! I had basmati rice cooked in bone broth, grass fed beef, cabbage, carrots, and green beans all covered in a peanut sauce and topped with sriracha and pickled ginger. (I had a lot more than pictured here)
And as always I finished lunch off with a bite of chocolate! Today's was Green and Black's 70% sea salt chocolate. It's good...I still prefer my 88% though :)
Dinner was quick and to the point as I did a cooking demo last night at my local health food store (and needed to eat before I left for the demo!) I made this recipe but made them in sliders for a Memorial Day recipe. They were super delicious and loved making them into miniature burgers! You should totally make them for Memorial Day weekend too :)
Before the cooking demo, I took some leftover salmon and made a sandwich out of it with gluten free bread, sriracha mayo and stuffed what veggies I could fit inside.
When I got home, I started my nighttime routine to help me unwind and relax. I enjoyed some turmeric milk, foam rolling and a Epsom salt bath before going to bed. I was hungrier than usual, so I listened and ate a nighttime snack! Honestly it was one of those times where I didn't really have any cravings I was just really hungry, do you know what I mean? So I just had some (unpictured) goat's milk yogurt with a little bit of pineapple, honey, cacao nibs and peanut butter.
And that's it! Tell me something delicious you ate yesterday?
