Week in Review #3
Well its been a long time since my last week in review, so we have a lot to catch up on! I'm also doing this today instead of our usual Friday week in review posts because I'm saving something super-duper-extra-special for Friday. So come back in a couple days to find out more :)
Usually these posts have tons of fun daily eats in them too but not today, come back next week for all the eats!
Alrighty then! So much fun stuff has happened since the last week in review post...
We went to Atlanta to visit our friends Benn and Melissa. Benn went to high school with Nick and I and Mel is my favorite (seriously so obsessed with her). She also makes this amazing jewelry and is just an all around feminist badass.
To say my soul was on fire the whole weekend was an understatement. To have your soul sisters also be your "co-workers/business partners", is a feeling I cannot describe! Truly the best. See you soon Meg!
The next weekend our friends Chris and Amber came to visit. Chris used to work with Nick here in Florida and then moved to Boston to be with his fiance (Amber) a couple years ago. They still come visit us every year and it makes my heart so happy. Love them both so much!
Sorry friends this is the best pic I got of the group this weekend! Chris, Amber and the gang here in Florida spent the whole weekend outside (Chris and Amber I think were dying from some sunshine) and we took them biking around the city, kayaking, beach trips and all the food and booze :)
The next week was a slow one, which gave me some time to get some fun house projects done and Nick and I went on our own kayaking adventure!
Alright what's next...
...Mine and Meg's other soul sister Georgie came to visit us for the first time in real life, too! I am insanely grateful for the friendships I have made in this blogging world and meeting Georgie in person was everything I hoped it would be! She is even better in person and we had such a fun week together.
The three of us hosted our very first live podcast event together while she was in town, and I'm so excited to say the event was so much fun and we are planning to host them in other cities throughout the US! I so hope I get to meet you in real life one day too, friend.
After the live podcast event Georgie graciously took a million and one pictures of Meg and I for our business, thanks girl you are the best! See you later this summer Georgie!
This past week it was mine and Nick's 4 year wedding anniversary! I cannot believe how quickly time flies...its been an amazing four years. We celebrated with a fancy dinner this past Thursday.
Although we've been married for four years we've been together for 13 years...every year it just keeps getting better. I love you so much babe!
And finally, this past weekend was also a blast with my close friend Sarah in town, who used to live here in St Pete but moved to NYC this past year. I sadly didn't get any pictures but we spent Saturday brunchin' and sipping sangria at the pool. Here's an adorable pic of her walking Porter yesterday :)
I miss you so much Sarah and cannot wait to come visit you this summer in NYC!
Alright last but not least...another fun house update! Nick built me a shelf above my desk so I can officially become the crazy plant (and cat) lady :)
Whew that's it for now! Well...until Friday! So soon I get to tell you what we've been working on behind the scene with NMN and I cannot wait to share more!
